Parametric Editorial Design
Commissioned by RetailX, this project involved developing a scalable suite of generative graphics utilizing advanced procedural modeling workflows. Built entirely within Blender’s Geometry Nodes, the visual system was driven by algorithms based on advection in noise fields and chaotic attractors, such as the Lorenz and Aizawa systems. Each composition emerged from a strictly controlled parametric setup, designed to balance underlying mathematical structure with emergent visual complexity.
The procedural workflow focused on translating dynamical, mathematically driven behaviors into highly detailed, coherent geometric forms. By using computational aesthetics, the resulting compositions evoke a sense of continuous transformation, organic growth, and renewal. These visual qualities were specifically calibrated to align with RetailX’s editorial focus on contemporary innovation and market optimism.
Functioning as both a creative inquiry and a technical case study, the project demonstrates the utility of dynamical systems in producing high-resolution, scalable graphics for both print and digital publications. Ultimately, it highlights how procedural logic and custom generative algorithms can be applied to effectively visualize abstract concepts for high-end commercial and editorial design.
