Commissioned for Halina Rice’s 2022 album Elision, released via Injazero Records, this project centered on developing a generative visual identity capable of encapsulating the record's expansive sonic palette. Ranging from experimental atmospheric textures to intricate, beat-driven IDM structures, the music required a visual counterpart that felt both structurally complex and inherently fluid.

The entire composition was constructed procedurally within TouchDesigner. Rather than relying on manual illustration, the visual elements emerged from a network of algorithmic rules and parametric constraints. This computational approach provided immense flexibility, allowing for rapid iteration and the exploration of variations that tightly aligned with the audio's shifting tone. The resulting shapes and visual rhythms directly echo the layered, unpredictable nature of the music, capturing a profound sense of kinetic energy and continuous movement even within a static printed frame.

Beyond the primary static album cover, this node-based generative workflow established a flexible visual architecture capable of outputting scalable assets for animation and live performance extensions. Ultimately, the project leverages real-time procedural tools to translate the eclectic, immersive qualities of Elision into a cohesive and dynamic computational aesthetic.
